Growing up in a house of fitness freaks, Ryan had no choice but to do something that generated copious amounts of sweat. He excelled in soccer and baseball until a knee injury put him on the sidelines. On a recommendation from his sports medicine physician, Ryan jumped into the swimming pool and the rest - as they say- is just history. Ryan competed in sprint freestyle and breaststroke late into college. After dabbling in 10-Ks and Half Marathons, he settled on Sprint Triathlons and still competes when he's not cuddling with his sweater wearing Yorkie, Mr. Gibbs.
